1914-2014: A Century of Creativity Inspired by War

Join us from 6pm on 11th November at the Priory Hall in Lancaster for an evening of prose, poetry and music inspired by the war – at the time, and to the present day.

The poetry, prose and music of the war years will be juxtaposed with a creative writing project of 2014, when archival materials of the Lancashire Archives inspired the publication of ‘Not the Wipers Times’ a hundred years after the outbreak of the War.

This FREE event will be hosted by Corinna Peniston-Bird (Department of History) in conjunction with George Green and Liz Oakley-Brown (Department of English and Creative Writing), and the Preston Arts Festival Writers.

All welcome.
