Advertsing and Forgetfulness (and Magic Dragons)

Today at Campus in the City, we will be joined by Beth Armstrong, a Pyschology PhD student, who will be running a study to find out if the number of adverts watched before a TV programme has an effect on how much you remember of the programme.

Beth says:’We will be asking participants to watch a clip which consists of some adverts and some scenes from Coronation Street. Once they have watched the clip, participants will be asked to complete a short memory task and a survey about TV viewing habits and lifestyle. The study will take about 20 minutes in total’.

Beth is particularly interested in participants aged between 18 and 25 and 60+. If you’ve got 20 minutes to spare, why not pop down?

For those who don’t have 20 minutes, there will also be an opportunity to make a Magic Dragon. Magic Dragons are paper dragons which look like they’re watching you when you move around in front of them. Like this… Qb52J1f
