We’ve had a fantastic first couple of weeks at Campus in the City, welcoming over 2,000 people to the shop. But there’s still a lot more to come as we hit Week 3.
Tuesday sees the return of our psychologists for the last Illusion Lab. Why not call in and make your own optical illusion or participate in one of our studies? We’re looking at willpower and self control and product placement in TV programmes.
On Wednesday, we’ll be celebrating the fact that Lancaster is one of only 5 or 6 collegiate universities in the UK. Find out more about what our colleges do, why our students love them so much and do our quiz to help you identify your college tribe.
On Thursday, we will be opening three boxes and trying out what we find inside. We’ll be looking at an eye tracker which follows where you’re looking as you think or talk, a 3D printer and all of the things we need to hold a trial with a judge and lawyers.
Friday will be busy with three separate events. Join our Careers Service in the morning to find out what they can do to help, even if you’re not a student. Or come to our session on money, money trouble and how’s money is created and spent in the afternoon.
The Light Up Lancaster team will be joining us for the evening to tell us more about the Falla, a giant sculpture which is built to be set alight. They are planning to build one as part of Light Up Lancaster in November, so please come along and find out how you can get involved.
We’re not taking it easy at the weekend either, with two events on Saturday, which both involve building. Come along in the morning to help us build a small version of a Falla, called a Ninot, or in the afternoon to make some amazing shapes and models with our team from Maths and Stats.
We look forward to seeing you here!
