We’re heading into our final week in Campus in the City. That’s sad news for us, but it doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to have some great events in our final few days…
On Tuesday, we will be welcoming back the team from Information Systems Services (ISS) for the official launch of the City and Region iLancaster app. Come and have a go, and find out what your region (and your mobile devices) can do for you.
On Wednesday, we have a bit of a change from our publicised timetable – unfortunately our chef isn’t able to make it due to illness. The group looking at Mobile Utopias will be with us all day, looking at questions like how we will live, work and travel in 2051/ We will also be joined by the project artist, who will draw your version of utopian Lancaster
Thursday sees us learning how to make pieces of art on our smartphones with Young Maeng, a student in the Lancaster Institute for Contemporary Arts. Come and try it out!
On Friday, we will be hosting a feedback session for our visitors. Call in and tell us what you liked about Campus in the City, what we could have done better and what you’d like to see in futute projects. In the evening, we will be welcoming students from Lancaster, University of Cumbria and UCLAN for a big open mic event to celebrate the end of the academic year. Brought to you by the team who run Stories at the Storey, it promises to be a great night!
Finally, on Saturday, we’ll be saying goodbye to all of our visitors and to the Arcades with a final event which shows off some of the ‘best bits’ of the past 10 weeks. Come and take a final tour through the human body, see our 3D printer in action and take a look at the new student-built racing car before its debut at Silverstone in July.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
