Today, we are joined by Korean artist and Lancaster PhD student Young Meang, who specialises in Documentation Art.
Documentation art is about using video and photographs to record the process of painting. That way, you are left with two separate pieces, the painting itself and a record of the how the painting was made, from its very beginnings to the finished piece.
As well as exhibiting some of her paintings and documentation pieces, Young will be hosting a workshop from 2pm today to show how anyone can make a piece of documentation art of their own – all you need is a smartphone!
We will also be open between 6pm and 8pm for a showing of the pieces – just call in and take a look
